I got up this morning and got ready for work -- when I flipped the porch light on....guess what I saw? Yep! The first snowfall of the year! As soon as the light went on, Bella and Zeke charged the door trying to get in where it was warm and dry. I had to call Dad downstairs to hold them at the door while I snapped the picture..poor babies! We gave them bacon and sausage, so I think they were okay.

I just put this picture on so you could see this year's snowfall as compared to last year's. However much there is, it is really nice to go out in the dark and scrape the snow from the windows and hear.....nothing......! Just calm! Beautiful, beautiful Woodland!

You've got to love that first snow of the year. I'm just VERY glad that it hasn't happened down here yet. We still have WAY to many vegatables and flowers for it to snow here.
You sure know how to make the Vegans cry, although it has been rather bearable around here lately.
You are spoiling Bella too much to feed her that! I guess its time for her to come back home if she's going to be a baby about the cold weather! Seeing these pictures made me listen to Christmas music on my way to work this morning! There was a chill in the air here too!
Are you going to put a picture of me on sometime?
Allen, since when did you guys stop eating meat?
Chelsea, she's gettin more than just bacon at Mom and Dad's...really good hospitality could be one name for it, ha ha! (Kissing Cousins)
Mom, I love woodland, too, and that picture of your front yard last year is so beautiful with the trees bent over with snow.
Giselle-
You are turning into quite the little jokester! Very nice--
Giselle- It seriously took me a minute to figure out the "stop eating meat" comment. I think we all know that could not possibly be true. Need I remind you that for one of my birthdays I requested an entire pound of bacon for myself.
Mom, I am so glad that conference weekend is almost here so you can start listening to christmas music, although I am sure that you cheated a little when the snow came! The weather here has actually been really nice lately and I can now walk Luke to and from school without the need of a change of shirts. I miss the leaves, the cold morining and warm afternoons, and family fall rides. Do you think they will still be around when we come in November?
Mom and Dad-
I was going to wait till you updated today to comment back to you, but I'm not sure that you're going to, so I will just tell you thank you so much for your comments to me. Both of you made me cry! Dad, I am glad you said its hard to have your daughters love someone else and leave you, because I was crying to Max the other day about how one day, Jack will leave his mommy for someone else! I haven't even held him in my arms yet, and already I'm worried about the day he leaves me! Hopefully, like you said, it will be better when I know how much he loves them and that he's happy. I didn't realize being a parent would be so hard, and I'm not one yet! I truly hope and pray everyday that I can be half as good at raising my children as you two have been to the six of us! We truly could not have had any better parents in the world! I am so blessed and lucky to have you both! Please start writing a book on how you raised us so I can read it and raise my own kids the exact way! We love you both so much, and can't wait to see you soon--hopefully this weekend!
Now on to my third comment. I sure do miss the snow.....but not in September! I have to be honest and say that I don't mind getting up at 5 and going to work with shorts and a jacket or sweatshirt on. But soon enough it will get down into the 40's and I will have to break out the levi's/coveralls! I really do miss being around family, no matter the weather. Hopefully the baby will get here soon and we will see everyone!
I HATE snow... That is all I have to say about the situation!
