Happy Birthday - Noah...The Frost is on the Pumpkin!

Noah - definitely handsome, bold, and strong!
A grandson to be proud of forever on.
Good teachings, example, hard work and fun,
Lots of love and devotion equals a fine young son!
Happy Birthday - Noah - Grandma and Grandpa love you!

I have been trying to convince Dad that we missed fall. He keeps insisting that the cold and snow are temporary and that we will return to fall...soon. What do ya think? How many weeks have you seen snow pictures of the Beautiful Valley? Not only is there frost on the pumpkins, but also 3 inches of snow!

The thing that gets you through not being exactly in love with winter weather so early on is the beauty of the whole thing. When have you ever seen anything so pretty? The snow, the animals, the blue sky, the countryside...I definitely can't be unhappy when Heavenly Father has given us so much!

Zeke and Bella love me no matter what the weather is. When it started to turn cold, they did take to cuddling rather than wrestling! It first started in the lawn clipping pile, then moved to the haystack and now they have moved to Bella's condo -- her kennel with the snugglie blankie (and besides, it is close to the food bowls!).

And you guys thought that the "water" calls would end when the hay was put up and farmers were no longer irrigating. Think again! There's too much water; there's not enough water; there's too many leaves; there's snow clogging the ditch...I'm sure there are other reasons to call regarding water, but no matter -- isn't it pretty?

Mom- its a good thing you are so clever since you have so many birthday tributes this month. I love the poem and that cute little boy. It truly is beautiful there and I get homesick everytime you post pictures. I'm happy Bella is doing well--she looks so big! We can't wait to see you soon!

You always seem to post pictures that make me miss Woodland the most. I have set the picture with the old manure spreader as my desktop at work. I am counting down until we come home to visit.

Ahhh yes, Allen -- nothing says "home" quite like an old manure spreader... ;-)

Thanks for the invite to comment here -- maybe I'll start one once I get released from my current calling. Or maybe I can get Kristy to do it, although she's pretty technology-averse.

Your kids and their blogs are great. Congratulations on the new grandson!

Another great birthday dedication and only 3 more to go. I love fall in Kamas and feel a bit cheated this year!

Hi Billie Sue! I just found your blog and wanted to say hi. I loved looking at all your pictures of your family, etc. What a beautiful new grandson you have - congrats to Chelsea! I also read about Mz. I hope she's doing better - please send her my love. Sounds like that was a close call for her. I hope she takes it easy from now on so it doesn't happen again!

Anyway, just wanted to say hi. You look great as always. Take care! ~ Jenny Smoot Preece

PS - Those were great pics of Woodland. It made me so nostalgic! I love that place...
