Memory.......ial Day Weekend

What a wonderful weekend with all the kids at home to love and play! We had many events to celebrate -- Noah's birthday, Evan's birthday, Rajko's blessing and honoring those who have "gone before us." We're so thankful for family, the gospel and for the Priesthood in our lives. So many beautiful memories!

Eli was so excited to have the cousins all come for the weekend!

If Evan likes you -- you will be lucky enough to get a big, juicy kiss. Evan LOVES Ellie!

Jack and Mia are loaded with rythmn!

Grandpa and "the Boys!" Notice Jack is quite the helper! Note also Chelsea and Allen at their usual teasing in the background!

Jack loves Grandpa and Bella. He put on Luke's boots and headed out in his jammies to make sure Bella had love and nutrition.

Evan's birthday cupcake! YUMMM!!!

So many presents for one smart, handsome, happy little boy!

Dapper Rajko attending cousin Evan's birthday party!

Ellie loves all the babies and it's Rajko's turn to be the recipient of her love.

"Calm" Rajko - in dreamland!

The "kid" table for Memorial Day breakfast

The "grown-up" table.

The entire family at the cemetery with Indian Crossings in the background.

Dad and the kids.

Earl and I have been the Service Club advisors at the high school. We have worked on a project called "Koins for Kenya," trying to raise enough funds to build a sister school in a small village in Kenya. We were able to reach our goal and raise enough money to build a two-room school that will house around 165 students! DeLoy is the School Board President and actually introduced us to "Koins." Barry Walker is the Superintendent; Lacy Turnbow has been the president of the Service Club; Brett Van Leeuwen is the head of the "Koins" organization; and Earl and myself. This has been a very rewarding experience to see high school students care enough about someone else in the world they have never seen and want to help them have the same oopportunities in life they have every day. Ten thousand five hundred dollars is HUGE!!!! They say ".....it takes a village...." and we are so very proud to join hands with other around the world to become part of the "village" to help raise a child.

What an awesome post. You are the matriarch of a wonderful family, Mom. I was in heaven being home for the weekend and have everyone there. It was so beautiful (although a little chilly compared to what I've become accustomed to) and I loved being with the family. All the babies are growing up so fast...it's incredible. Thanks for throwing a party for Rajko since I am the hostess with the leastest!!! I'm not sure what I would do without you and Billie Jo!

"Calm" Rajko looks like he got into the OREO bin. But alas, I am happy to sacrifice with a black mouth and stained clothes just to have his tummy feel good. I LOVE Colic Calm.

It was a fabulous weekend full of family. I was really sad to see the clan of boys with grandpa and know that we will never get in on that adventure. Maybe it is best for all competitive purposes. I think there will be many a wrestling match take place in the near future with Allen and Chelsea "coaching."

Sorry to say, but I don't think any of the babies will be a match for Jack!(despite his cry-baby behavior!)

Thank you so much for allowing us to be a part of such a wonderful weekend. You always make family gatherings wonderful and give us great memories to remember. I love how much Jack loves to be there with you and Dad, and only wish we could be there more. You two are great parents and great grandparents and all the kids love you. I'm so glad you were able to spend so much time with us while we were there too!

The cemetary was beautiful and I'm glad I was able to make it there before I headed home! Love you!

Oh so many fun cousins and wonderful Grandparents. We sure loved the weekend. Thank you so much for coming to Evan's party and documenting it for us since we didn't. (oh and our camera no longer works.) We love making all these fun memories with family!

Ha Ha,last the best of all the game. I really was a great weekend. I absolutely LOVE having everyone together and just hanging out together.

I can't believe that your hard working club raised that much money. I am sure that $10,500 dollars will go a LONG way to help the children of Kenya.

Thanks for all of the love and work you put into our family.
