It is nearly the end of June and I had my last day of work yesterday! Hurray! Now summer can be in full swing -- and my--how those lazy, crazy daz of summer are full of fun!
The first, biggest, best news is that Chelsea took Part I of her Ultra Sounds Boards and PASSED!!!! Yeah! The move north might be a little more of a reality now she has passed this test. She came up Monday night, tested Tuesday, and we made necklaces on Wed before she left. I so wish I had taken pictures, because mine has an old locket of my Mother's, which I can place a picture in. Chelsea took an old pair of earrings of Mom's and made in to a necklace for her and it is fabulous! Giselle made a necklace for herself and Mia, while Chelsea made hers and one for Tess. We had a great time!
The cousins all had so much fun playing at the park together. Rajko thinks he is as big as the rest of the kids and it takes all of Tess's time and attention to keep track of him. Eli is definitely as big as his brothers and Ellie does a great job of seeing to his safety!
Mia and Noah run the world -- and what one doesn't think of -- the other one does!
On a glorious Sunday evening, Earl and I were out checking the farm and cattle over, and here is what we found grazing with the cattle. There were actually three and they were all huge, beautiful animals.
Eli celebrated his 2nd birthday in true farm style with a cake that had a tractor that had just cut swaths of hay. He was way more interested in running the cake through the frosting than eating a piece!
How could a load of boys have any more fun than riding the four-wheeler with Uncle Allen?
By the time Jack arrived, we had to clear a place so he could have a ride too (love the shades?).
Oh - shhhh - don't tell the parents what goes on at Grandma's house! Just to put you at ease, I did ask Grandpa if, in the future he could place another board along side this one to avoid the tight-rope effect.
Putting various items in the water upstream and catching it downstream is the fun!
This one looks cute no matter what she does!
Ok - I must admit, we were in trouble when this one's Mother caught us! Remember, she works in a hospital and sees it all, so fear lingers in her heart! Seriously, a two-year old tight-rope-walking across a farm stream is a tiny bit scary!
, No challenge is too big for Luke! When you're his age, nothing is too daunting!
DON'T WORRY, ALLEN, EVAN WAS NOT ALLOWED TO EVEN GET CLOSE TO THE WATER! PROMISE!!!
Rajko can hold his own with the boys! He has mastered, "Nauooooo!" and uses it in the correct situations to any and all whom he feels deserves it!
Somehow a "tween" just doesn't get a rush anymore out of chasing stuff down the creek. Hanging out on the Little Mermaid rock, chewing on a piece of grass is cool!
As for me, hanging out with my daughters (that includes you, Patrice) and my grandchildren is just about as good as it gets. My house is not getting clean, my laundry is not getting washed, my flower beds are not getting weeded, but the fun of making pizza sure was good and the company was even better! Summer -- Bring It On!!!

Fun fun day and I love the pictures! Oh how we love summer to go to Grandma's House! I don't know what we'll do when everyone goes back to school. I think we will be so lonely without going out to the farm every day to play with cousins and get spoiled by grandma... me included. I hope summer never ends! And thank you for telling Allen that Evan DID NOT go near the water.
Thank you, thank you, thank you, Mom! You are so nice and I loved the support you showed to me throughout this entire ordeal! I really do hope the move happens soon, and I am seriously doing everything I can to make it work.
I love the picture of Jack riding the 4-wheeler. Its funny to see the double life that my child leads. I loved every minute we got to spend there this week, even with Jack's dangerous water antics.
The necklaces were perfect, and yours was definitely the best! I loved making those memories with you1
Mom, that is such a cute post! I love the last paragraph the most...who cares about laundry, weeds, house cleaning, etc when there is visiting to be done?? I have had more fun in the past few weeks being home than I can remember having in a long time. We are LOVING being here. Thanks so much for letting us crash with you guys. I love that Rajko is getting to know you so well now and all his McNeil cousins, too... soon, oh so soon, he will be chasing stuff down the creek, too.
Love you! And love your necklace, too...you should post a pic of it!
Ah, I too love summer. I only wish it stuck around a little longer than it does. I can't imagine anything more fun than being with cousin playing in grandma's creek. Thanks for always puting on a party for us all. Next time I hope I can make it to the jewelry party. Darn this job of mine!
