What a Great Day!

What a great day May 14th is! It is the day Noah Rasheta...and Nik Rasheta (Noah's twin brother)...were born to Lary and Tere Rasheta in Dallas, Texas! Noah grew up in Plano until he was thirteen years old, then Lary and Tere decided they wanted the boys to experience Tere's heritage. The family moved to Guadalajara, Mexico where Tere's family lives. Noah grew up with all the colorful, exciting, patient, kind, family-oriented influence Mexico could offer. I mention this, because this is a big part of what makes Noah who he is.
Noah moved back to Dallas just prior to leaving on his mission to the Ecuador Guayaquio Mission, which included the Galapagos Islands. After returning home from his mission, Noah relocated once again to Orem, Utah in order to attend school at Utah Valley State College. While attending school there, he was both a Standard and Latin dancer on the Ballroom Tour Team.
Fall of 2004, Giselle started school at UVSC, where she was a member of the Dance Team. In the Spring of 2005, Noah was Giselle's dance partner in the Dance Team's spring show. Giselle remembers the encounter going something like this....
"When Noah told me about himself and said he wanted to marry someone who spoke Spanish and could raise their children loving, speaking Spanish and appreciating his heritage, I said...'I am going to marry him!'"
The interesting part of this story is that Giselle ALWAYS said she was going to attend BYU. Late in the spring of her high school senior year, she changed her mind and announced she was going to go to UVSC. We all wondered the reason for her decision. Once she met Noah, we all KNEW why she was guided in her decision. Isn't it interesting how things work out in life....Giselle also ended up on the Ballroom Tour Team and was UVU's first graduate with a Ballroom Dance Degree.
Giselle always danced her life away in a fairy tale world where everything was happy and beautiful and exciting and kind. Noah is perfect for Giselle. He creates a happy, beautiful, exciting, kind and colorful world for Giselle. He is so creative...and he works diligently on bringing his creations to life. He is patient and kind and is a really cute Daddy to Rajko.
We are so thankful for Noah in our family! Now you can see why we feel like today is such a great day! Thank you to Lary and Tere for giving Noah life and for giving him the kind of life that has influenced who he is and what he does. Thank you, Noah, for being a part of our family and for giving Giselle such a beautiful life and son!
Happy Birthday, Noah....we love you!

what a lovely story! I'm still trying to get everybody straight in your family. As to the impatiens and bogonias, i can't see why you couldn't grow them, as long as you plant them after there is no chance of freezing. They like a little sun, but mostly shady areas. I plant them in the ground and in pots as well, but if you are worried about the cold, maybe it would be better in pots.

We all love Uncle Noah. He is truely a blessing to have in our family. I knew Giselle was smitten with Noah the first time I saw them together. If there ever was a poster child for "happy-go-lucky" it would be Noah. Happy Birthday, we love you!

Happy birthday, Noah. We are so glad he is a part of our family. In fact, we liked him so much we named our son after him! He is a great example to my Noah, as well as the rest of us.
